ABSTRACT: In 2022, the Party’s 20th National Congress proposed to comprehensively promote rural revitalization at this stage. The relationship between economy, society and environment is changing according to certain laws in the history of rural development, and it is also an important part of human life. In this paper, entropy method and coupling coordination model are used to measure the coupling coordination degree of rural areas in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration. The research results show that the economic, social and environmental development of rural areas in the Yangtze River Delta are steadily improving from 2013 to 2021, and the gap in rural development status of prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is large, and the development gap is decreasing during the study period. From the perspective of provinces and cities, the order of development from good to bad is Jiangsu Province > Zhejiang Province > Anhui Province.
