ABSTRACT: In order to facilitate the calibration and scale of pyroelectric detectors for environmental dose monitoring, a new simple standard irradiation device was designed. Through Monte Carlo software, the uniformity of radiation field, absorbed dose of pyroelectric detector and scattering contribution rate of this device are simulated. The simulation results show that the new simple standard irradiator satisfies the national standards and can fulfill the calibration and scaling requirements of pyroelectric detectors for environmental dose monitoring.
