ABSTRACT: This article first introduces the relevant concepts of risk capital and
analyzes the Chinese government’s intervention in the venture capital market.
This article introduces venture capital and government intervention, the
limitations of government intervention, and the role of the Chinese
government’s needs by analyzing history and existing issues. This paper also
gives the theoretical basis and policy recommendations for the development of
China’s venture capital and the theoretical basis of government intervention.
The characteristics of venture capital are summarized, as well as the reasons
for government intervention, the restrictions caused by the government
intervention in the venture capital market, and the government’s excessive
intervention issues. The article also looks back on the four stages of the
development of China’s risk investment and emphasizes the government’s role in
each stage. Finally, this literature review
summarizes the government’s intervention form of venture capital, compares government intervention in
China and some developed countries, and gives suggestions on future
development.
