ABSTRACT: In general, teacher’s profession is synonym with teaching. However, there
is still lack of understanding among public about this profession. Therefore,
this study is conducted to highlight the job description as a teacher,
particularly in the Malaysian context. A qualitative study was undertaken in 7
schools in Malaysia from May to July 2022. Purposeful sampling of 15 teachers was interviewed
about the job as a teacher.
