ABSTRACT: Art education cultivates people’s cognitive ability and creativity, enhances their aesthetic ability and psychological adaptability, and fosters their social communication skills, making significant contributions to personal character formation. In October 2020, the Central Committee and the State Council released an opinion, stating that breakthroughs should be made in aesthetics education in schools by 2022, comprehensively strengthening and improving the aesthetics education in the new era, and basically establishing a complete and distinctive modern aesthetics education system with Chinese characteristics. In the context of common prosperity, art education should respond to the national call and empower the mountainous areas.
