ABSTRACT: The
paper provides an analysis of how AI-themed
films reflect on the question of reality and illusion, and how these
reflections resonate with the ancient Zen
philosophy in a vivid way. The reality of the world, human distinctiveness, and
“self” are discussed by comparing the metaphors in AI-themed
films and the philosophy of Zen.
