ABSTRACT: This study evaluated the impact of school feeding programmes on enrollment in the Tolon District of Ghana. The research analyzed data from seven schools with feeding programmes and compared it with data from seven schools without feeding programmes. The data underwent logarithm transformation and was analyzed using ANOVA. The study found an increase in the number of schools with feeding programmes in the district over the past three years, but no significant correlation between enrollment numbers and school feeding was observed. Nonetheless, the study suggests that school feeding programmes have the potential to enhance students’ nutritional status and improve academic performance.The provision of these local meals could contribute to teaching pupils the rich culture of Ghana through food. The procurement of local ingredients for the meals could help increase the income of farmers, aggregators and processors along the value chain.
