ABSTRACT: The article considers different manifestations of time found throughout the novel of Marcel Proust In Search of Lost Time, which is not only the subjective time of Narrator’s personal memory, but the time that aims to objectify and manifest itself through different images and characters, and to finally turn into time of the work of art, that is, to become a monument that contains and disperses temporality in all its varieties. The paper emphasizes the fact that time in Proust is always correlated with its expression in multiple spaces, objects and characters, and that is what actually makes his poetics original.
