ABSTRACT: During the renaissance, Britain’s economy developed a lot. At the same time, it also injects some new ideas into society. Some works reflected how people’s attitude toward love changed during this time like Philip Sidney’s A Ditty. This paper studies the poem through economic criticism and interprets it from a new perspective.
