ABSTRACT: As a city-state, Singapore has created a series of
economic glories in OFDI in recent years and has accumulated a wealth of
investment experience. How to better carry out foreign investment, reduce
losses and learn from Singapore’s experience is of great practical significance
for China to build an investment system. Based on the statistics of the World
Investment Report of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development,
this paper analyzes the existing problems and makes suggestions through the
quantitative analysis of Singapore’s OFDI data, and summarizes the inspiration
that Singapore has given to China in the field of OFDI.
