  ABSTRACT: Gastric intestinal metaplasia plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of intestinal gastric cancer. Objective: A retrospective analysis of demographic characteristics, site of involvement, and incidence was performed involving patients who underwent endoscopy who had biopsy-diagnosed intestinal metaplasia. Materials and Methods: The study included 720 patients with functional dyspepsia retrospectively from among 6160 patients who underwent upper endoscopy in Celal Bayar University, Faculty of Medicine, Gastroenterology Department, between 2014 and 2020.
