ABSTRACT: This paper discusses the advantages of IPv6 technology compared with IPv4, such as address capacity, automatic address allocation, mobile connection characteristics, security and confidentiality, quality of service, and multicast transmission. The key summary summarizes the application of IPv6 technology in the four industries of power, finance, home, and education. Since there is almost no application of IPv6 technology in the public security industry in the previous literature, the author proposes the application innovation of IPv6 technology in the public security industry according to his own industry.
