ABSTRACT: This study investigated the psychological health of students from a private college in Guangdong for nearly a month. Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS), interview and Solutions Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) were used to analyze some factors such as different grade, age, gender, origin, only child in the family, etc. and to figure out whether these factors have been significant differences and associations in depression severity so as to find out the major effect factors of depression. Finally, according to the survey results and analysis, this paper puts forward some suggestions on the prevention of college students’ psychological crisis.
