ABSTRACT: In the context of the era of mobile Internet boom and knowledge explosion, facing the increasingly competitive social environment, it is of great significance for the personal development of students in higher vocational colleges to study how to effectively apply various types of online information to improve their information literacy. In this paper, we clarify the connotation of information acquisition ability based on existing research and subdivide it into five dimensions: independent learning ability, innovative learning ability, continuous learning ability, teamwork ability and systematic thinking ability. On this basis, we explore five ways to improve the information acquisition ability of students in higher vocational colleges: improving their own independent learning ability, improving their own innovative learning ability, improving their own continuous learning ability, improving their own teamwork ability, and improving their own systematic thinking ability.
