ABSTRACT: Based on the analysis and research of many theoretical documents on the connotation scholarship of teaching, this paper refines the core connotation of the universality of teaching scholarship, and develops a data scale based on this. Through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted among teachers of public English departments of four universities in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, and it is concluded that the core factors of teaching scholarship are learning and researching of teaching, peer communication, teaching feedback, and professional knowledge.
