  ABSTRACT: Requital is one of Al-Fuzai’s short stories. It depicts the relationship between a mother and his child during a time of war. This mother makes her decision not to tell attackers anything about her son and his friends. The story presents how war influences the life of an ordinary family. It also highlights that violence and injustice should have an end.
