ABSTRACT: This paper reviews and examines the evolution of cognitive translation studies at home and abroad over the last decade. It focuses on three specific theories under cognitive translation studies: Relevance Theory, Adaptation Theory, conceptual metaphor and metonymy, as well as the fundamental trend of cognitive translation transforming from traditional translation study to modern one. This paper, based on the review, aims to explore the current trend in cognitive translation studies, in order to better understand its theoretical framework and application.
