  ABSTRACT: At present, the land fragmentation caused by small-scale production and management of farmers restricts the promotion of agricultural modernization in China. In response to the national rural revitalization strategy, it is the current trend of agricultural development to build a new socialist countryside with strong agriculture, beautiful rural areas and rich farmers, and to encourage small-scale farmers to operate in an appropriate scale. In this context, this study took 326 households of farmers in Zhejiang province as samples, and adopted binary logistic model to analyze the influencing factors of farmers’ land scale management intention, so as to explore ways to improve farmers’ scale management intention. The results show that three important factors, distance from the nearest agricultural trade market, planting years and agricultural technology training, have a significant impact on the willingness of farmers to operate on a large scale, and accordingly, corresponding policy suggestions are put forward to promote the promotion of agricultural scale.
