  ABSTRACT: Preeclampsia is a multisystem disorder that contributes to morbidity and mortality worldwide. Recent studies show that elevated plasma and erythrocytic malondialdehyde (MDA), a marker of lipid peroxidation, has been documented in women with established preelampsia. This study aimed to observe antioxidant properties of black rice bran on preeclampsia. Level of MDA was measured with TBARS (thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances). Results showed that black rice bran has antioxidant properties by significantly decreasing MDA in preeclampsia-induced HUVEC. This makes black rice bran a promising agent which can be further used in preeclampsia treatment.
