ABSTRACT: “Time Bank”, as the most representative form of mutual support for the aged,
is still in the early stage in China. From the perspective of commercial banks,
this paper explores how time currency operates and analyzes the real dilemma of
“Time Bank” from four main factors including time account, time currency, time
deposit receipt, free deposit and withdrawal, thus providing effective
reference for “Time Bank” to obtain credibility and expand coverage in order to
form a far-reaching pension mode finally.
