ABSTRACT: Since the
establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Turkmenistan in 1992,
the two countries have made remarkable achievements in economic cooperation.
Especially after the “one belt and one way” strategy was put forward, the
economic and trade cooperation between China and the mainland was given new
significance of the times. In this context, this paper makes an in-depth study
of China Turkmenistan economic and trade cooperation. This paper first briefly
introduces the economic development of Turkmenistan, then summarizes the
history and current situation of economic and trade cooperation between China
and Turkmenistan, and focuses on natural gas as a case study. Next, it analyzes
the advantages and disadvantages of the economic and trade cooperation between
China and Turkmenistan, and puts forward the countermeasures. Finally, the
prospect of future economic and trade cooperation between China and
Turkmenistan is given.
