ABSTRACT: IoT can aid alliance of communication, monitor and information processing across various transportation systems. The authors have developed a real time public bus management system based on IoT and android application. The authors have used GPS (Global Positioning System) to track the nearest location of the bus and police station; IR sensor is used for checking seat availability. The authors also use a Panic Alert Button on every seat of the bus to reduce women harassment. With the press of the panic alert button, the notification sends to the owner and the nearest police station with the current location of the bus.
