ABSTRACT: Toni Morrison (1931-2019) is an inspiring female writer in the American contemporary literary world. In response to the physical and spiritual trauma caused by the slavery system, Toni Morrison shows her concerns about the black female group to females of different races and ethnics. From the perspective of J. Hillis Miller’s techniques of deconstruction, this paper is going to reveal the growth curves of the three heroines and explore the maternal love and freedom of the female subjectivity under slavery.
