ABSTRACT: The accuracy of English translation of construction texts ensures the implementation of cooperative projects with foreign parties. However, translators are prone to comprehension errors in the process of English translation, thus leading to illogic expressions in the target text. This paper first analyzes the illogic expression problems at lexical, syntactical and discourse level, then briefly introduces explication translation strategy. Finally, it proposes explication translation strategy in construction texts so as to achieve the effect of precise wording, concise expression and rigorous logic.
