ABSTRACT: The agriculture sector is one of the economic pillars in a developing country. For the better governance of the sector, Market Information System (MIS) was promoted in 1980 in developing countries after the liberalization of the market and the withdrawal of Para-public from the agricultural sector. From the perspective of economic theory, the emergence of an MIS in an economy is supposed to reduce information search costs and influence the behaviour of economic agents such as producers, traders and consumers. So these agents should have access to this information to guide their decisions.
