ABSTRACT: Cooperative education is very important in the innovation-oriented national construction. It is an effective way to improve quality of teaching by cooperative education of industry, university and research, which plays critical role in cultivating undergraduates’ practical and innovative ability. This paper analyzes the current situation of cooperative education in local normal universities from the perspective of qualification assessment. The internal and external factors that influence the depth of cooperative education are discussed. Some specific advices are put forward from the aspects of renewing understanding, playing the leading role of governments at all levels and improving cooperation mechanism.
