ABSTRACT: In this article, I present various ways of looking at sport through the lens of art-aesthetic concepts. It is argued that indeed there are overlaps between art and sport and that this suggests a complementary pairing between the two that in turn sets in motion other such pairings, such as that between the aesthetic and the extra-aesthetic. In short: art and sport are both games within a certain defined cultural setting, but also interlink. I then conclude that since therearetheoretical links, there may be practical implications.
