ABSTRACT: In this paper a design of single layer rectangular notch microstrip antenna for dual-band is proposed and experimentally investigated. This antenna is excited by microstrip line. Direct microstrip coupling with proper matching transformer has been used. Design is made for optimized notch dimension for two resonant frequencies. These resonance frequencies change with the variation in length and width of the notch. The input impedance and VSWR have been measured with the help of Network analyzer. It is found that the input impedance and VSWR depends variation in length and width of the notch microstrip antenna.
