ABSTRACT: Structural and rotational isomorphism in planetary Gear Trains (PGTs), is tested by Hamming number method. Symmetry in PGTs can be determined from the same Hamming matrix. Bearing of the structural property like symmetry in PGTs is studied and is used to evaluate its influence on generation of PGTs.
