  ABSTRACT: We formulate a matrix Riemann-Hilbert problem to the initial value problem for the two-component system proposed by Matsuno. By solving the associated Riemann-Hilbert problem, we can get the soliton solutions of the two-component system. One and two soliton solutions are investigated in detail.
