ABSTRACT: An enrolment projection model based on the Markov Chain is developed for Apostolic Faith Secondary School, Akwa Ibom State,
Nigeria. Six years of data (between 2008/2009-2013/2014 academic sessions) of
student enrolment at the school were studied. The study reveals that the
enrolments through various grades are not stable and orderly. The model is
helpful for the school’s future planning in matters regarding secondary students’ enrolment.
