ABSTRACT: This paper came against the backdrop of the need to clarify and appraise the law relating to rights of parties to a sale of goods contract in Nigeria. And this is with the objective of engendering a better legal regime for business contracts in particular and economic transactions in general. The paper has therefore appraised the Sale of Goods Act especially as it relates to the rights of parties to a contract of sales; examined various court decisions on the subject; and highlighted weaknesses in the law that require remedial action.
