ABSTRACT: The Japanese artist Fujita Tsuguharu’s oeuvre contains a transformation of style from an intimate manifestation of personal statement to a delineation full of violence and sacrifice. What remains constant in his painting is a mixture of Japanese and European elements, a hybrid identity of this oriental Japanese artist who had spent seventeen-year of his artistic career in Paris.
