ABSTRACT: This paper aims to identify and analyze cultural diplomacy as an innovative tool in this new age by promoting the image of China in Asia through the Belt and Road Initiative, by means of the various characteristics of culture as a soft power tool. This paper proposes that through the use of cultural diplomacy as aspects of culture as a soft power tool, it increases cultural awareness about China’s cultural traditions that will in turn, further promote China’s image in Asia and a harmonious society.
