ABSTRACT: Background and objective: Cirrhosis affects hundreds of millions of patients all around the world. Vitamin D deficiency is frequently observed in chronic hepatic disease. Vitamin D level may be an important survival marker in advanced liver cirrhosis. Material and Methods: The study is a sectional one of the descriptive-analytical type, where 90 of the patients with hepatic cirrhoses were selected with census sampling method. In all the cirrhotic patients, for diagnosis in clinical findings, the serological marker, autoantibodies were stable; biochemical endoscopy and imaging were the histological evidence and examinations and were then analyzed by SPSS version 22 software. Results: Based on the study, from the aspect of Child-Pugh classification, the highest vitamin D levels had the highest value in Child-Pugh class A with a frequency of 13 (43%) in the form of insufficiency, and had the highest value in Child-Pugh class B and C in the form of slight deficiency.
