ABSTRACT: West China is rich in unique national sports resources that have not been fully developed and used at present yet. To develop those resources is an important part of the large-scale development strategy for the western region. In this essay, a research on those resources was made based on PSR (Pressure-State-Response) model which is an evaluation model frequently adopted in evaluation of ecosystems health in environmental quality assessment, to analyze the development situation of national sports resources in West China and come up with a theory for relevant development.
