ABSTRACT: The importance of
Web-based GIS applications for government is to analyze the information they
produce and to establish their impact on efficiency, effectiveness and
transparency. The potential of Remote Sensing and GIS provides cost and
time-effective resource database. An attempt was made to develop a Web enabled
Geo database for the Moinabad Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana. Further
this database was used to develop a web enabled multi-layer geo database using
ArcGIS Server. It enables the users to know the information and take better
decisions, better planning in different rural development sectors.
