ABSTRACT: Malignant tumors of the
appendix are rare. They are present in 0.1% to 0.5% of appendectomy specimens:
confirmed upon histological analysis. Mixed tumors in the appendix are
exceptional. We report a mixed mucinous cystadenoma with a moderately
differentiated adenocarcinoma of the appendix in a 64-year-old patient
presented to the emergency room with bowel obstruction syndrome.
