ABSTRACT: Osteoma is a slow-growing tumor formed by mature bone tissue. In the temporal bone, intracanalicular osteomas are more frequent while extracanalicular ostemoas are rare. They very rarely occur over the mastoid region. They are treated mainly for cosmetic purposes. These are readily excised and recurrence is rare after complete excision. In this case report, we want to revisit this rare mastoid osteoma and discuss the differential diagnosis and treatment. We believe that this report will be of interest to otolaryngologists when dealing with temporal bone osteomas.
