ABSTRACT: This study explored the use of the Academic Decision-Making Model (ADMM) for professional development of department leaders in higher education. The study results confirmed that the model was effective as a framework for increasing participants’ knowledge about how to solve problems and building confidence for making complex decisions involving administrators, faculty, staff, and students.
