  ABSTRACT: Natural products are mostly considered safe, effective and with fewer side effects. For testing the natural products for their analgesic potential various in-vivo methods are used including chemical induced methods and thermal induced method. In the present review article we have discussed various in-vivo paradigms along with their merits and drawbacks. This mini review will help pharmacologist in performing various analgesic experiments.
