Special Issue on Marine Microplastic Pollution
Microplastic is a new pollutant in marine environment. The invisible particles mainly come from primary microplastic and secondary plastic. Microplastic not only affect the health and sustainable development of marine and terrestrial ecosystems, but also endanger the safety and health of human beings through food chain transmission and enrichment. It is imminent to study the distribution of microplastic in marine environment, the impact of microplastic on marine biological community and ecological environment, and their degradation control.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring marine microplastic pollution. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Sources of marine microplastic
-
Distribution status of microplastic
-
Marine microplastic pollution monitoring
-
Microplastic pollution control
-
Microplastic degradation technology
-
Ecological effects of microplastic
-
The threat of microplastic to marine organisms
-
Migration model of marine microplastic
-
Numerical model of marine microplastic transport
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Marine Microplastic Pollution” should be chosen during your submission.
