Special Issue on Systems Engineering
Systems engineering is an interdisciplinary field of engineering and engineering management
that focuses on how to design and manage complex systems over their life
cycles. At its core systems engineering utilizes systems thinking principles to
organize this body of knowledge. Issues such as requirements engineering,
reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, testing and
evaluation, maintainability and many other disciplines necessary for successful
system development, design, implementation, and ultimate decommission become
more difficult when dealing with large or complex projects. Systems engineering
deals with work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools in
such projects. It overlaps technical and human-centered disciplines such as
industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering,
control engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, cybernetics,
organizational studies and project management.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on systems engineering. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Communication systems
engineering
-
Human factors in systems
engineering
-
Control systems engineering
-
Model-based systems
engineering
-
Evolutionary algorithms
-
Security and fault diagnosis
-
Optimization and probability
-
Systems engineering for
information-intensive organizations
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the
journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under
your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special
Issue – Systems Engineering”
should be chosen during your submission.
