Special Issue on Labor and Delivery: Research and Practice

Labor and Delivery: Research and Practice is a medical field focused on the clinical management of childbirth, maternal care and delivery outcomes. It encompasses labor physiology, obstetric interventions, pain management, fetal monitoring, cesarean delivery and management of childbirth complications. The field integrates clinical research and evidence-based practices to promote safe childbirth, reduce maternal and neonatal risks, improve obstetric care, and enhance the health and well-being of mothers and newborns.
