Special Issue on Language, Discourse and Society
Language,
Discourse and Society investigates the relationships between language use,
communication practices, social structures, and cultural contexts. This field
encompasses sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, language variation,
multilingualism, language and identity, intercultural communication,
pragmatics, and the role of language in shaping social interactions and public
discourse. Research in this area aims to understand how language reflects and
influences social norms, power relations, cultural values, and collective identities
across different communities and institutions. It also addresses contemporary
issues such as language policy, digital communication, media discourse, gender
