Special Issue on Genetics and Biotechnology

Genetics and Biotechnology is a scientific field that investigates the structure, function, variation, and inheritance of genes while applying biological knowledge and advanced technologies to develop practical solutions in medicine, agriculture, industry, and environmental management. This field includes genetic engineering, genome sequencing, gene editing, molecular biology, synthetic biology, bioinformatics, microbial biotechnology, and the development of biopharmaceuticals. Research in genetics and biotechnology aims to understand biological mechanisms, improve crop productivity, develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic methods, enhance industrial bioprocesses, and promote sustainable applications of biological resources. It also addresses emerging challenges related to genetic diseases, biosafety, ethical considerations, and the responsible application of genetic technologies.
