Special Issue Surface and Coating Engineering
Surface
and Coating Engineering is an interdisciplinary subfield spanning materials
science, mechanical engineering, and applied chemistry, defined as the
systematic design, modification, and deposition of the outermost 10 nm to 10 μm
layer of solid substrates (metals, ceramics, polymers, and composites) to
achieve tailored tribological, chemical, optical, biological, or mechanical
properties that neither the bulk substrate nor standalone coating materials can
deliver independently.
The goal of this special issue is to
provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to
promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Surface and Coating Engineering.
In this
special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original
research and review articles that explore Surface and Coating Engineering. In this special issue, potential topics
include, but are not limited to:
-
Advanced
Coating Deposition Technology
-
Surface
Modification & Texturing
-
Functional
& Smart Coating Systems
-
Interfacial
Science & Performance Evaluation
-
Green
& Sustainable Surface Manufacturing
Authors
should read over the journal’s For
Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special
Issue – Surface and Coating Engineering” should
be selected during your submission.
