Special Issue on Urban Water Supply and Sanitation

Urban Water Supply and Sanitation is a field concerned with the planning, development, operation, and management of water supply and sanitation systems in urban environments. It addresses drinking water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, sewage infrastructure, stormwater management, water quality protection, and public sanitation services. Research in this area aims to improve access to safe drinking water, prevent waterborne diseases, reduce environmental pollution, and enhance the reliability and efficiency of urban water infrastructure. It also considers challenges such as population growth, aging pipelines, water scarcity, climate change, and the sustainable use of water resources. Through engineering innovation, effective management strategies, and integrated urban planning, this field supports public health, environmental protection, and resilient urban development.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Urban Water Supply and Sanitation. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
