Special Issue on Civil and Hydroscience Engineering

This is a highly integrated interdisciplinary research domain that synergizes the core theoretical frameworks of civil engineering and hydroscience, focusing on the coupled interactions between human-built civil infrastructure and the natural hydrological cycle across watershed, urban, and coastal scales. It systematically investigates the physical mechanisms, numerical modeling, intelligent regulation, and engineering practice of water-related processes in complex civil systems, aiming to address global challenges including water security risks, hydrological extreme disasters, aquatic ecological degradation, and the climate resilience enhancement of civil-water infrastructure systems. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academics all over the world to promote, share and discuss various new issues and developments in Civil and Hydroscience Engineering.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Civil and Hydroscience Engineering. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • ?Advanced Hydrological Modeling and Watershed Process Simulation
  • Environmental and Ecological Hydraulics?
  • ?Intelligent Hydraulic Structures and Infrastructure Resilience
  • Urban Hydrology and Sponge City System Optimization
  • Computational Hydroscience and Digital Twin Watershed
  • Water Resources Planning and Optimal Allocation
  • ?Civil-Hydraulic Geotechnical Engineering and Geological Disaster Mitigation
  • Coastal and Offshore Hydroscience Engineering

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Civil and Hydroscience Engineering” should be selected during your submission.
