Special Issue on

HIV/AIDS Research and Clinical Studies

HIV/AIDS Research and Clinical Studies advances scientific understanding of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and its progression to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), with an emphasis on improving prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term patient care. Research in this area addresses viral replication, host immune responses, antiretroviral drug resistance, co-infections, and the development of innovative therapeutic strategies. Clinical investigations also explore HIV testing and monitoring, pre-exposure and post-exposure prophylaxis, treatment adherence, maternal and pediatric care, and the management of age-related complications among people living with HIV. By integrating laboratory discoveries, clinical trials, epidemiological evidence, and patient-centered approaches, this field contributes to reducing transmission, improving health outcomes, and addressing persistent challenges in global HIV care.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring HIV/AIDS Research and Clinical Studies. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • AIDS-related healthcare and clinical management
  • Antiretroviral therapy and treatment strategies
  • Clinical trials and therapeutic innovations
  • HIV and comorbid conditions
  • HIV diagnosis and screening
  • HIV drug resistance and viral suppression
  • HIV epidemiology and public health
  • HIV pathogenesis and disease progression
  • HIV prevention and prophylactic interventions
  • HIV treatment adherence and patient outcomes
  • HIV vaccine development
  • HIV-associated malignancies
  • HIV-related neurological disorders
  • HIV-related opportunistic infections
  • Immune responses and immunodeficiency
  • Mother-to-child HIV transmission

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - HIV/AIDS Research and Clinical Studies” should be selected during your submission.
